Heyagriva is a Hindu word that is derived from the name of Lord Vishnu. Heyagriva Homestay has opted for this name because we believe in treating our guests as gods as we serve them in an environment that is pleasant and home-like. As the family of Heyagriva treats the tourists as their own family members, they never feel homesick.
Hello All! My name is Paulzor Dukpa, I’m a lifelong resident of Darjeeling and worked in India’s foremost outdoor adventure company for 6yrs. I’ve traveled to a lot of places in India, Nepal, and Bhutan and climbed many peaks above 6500m. I am an avid explorer and have trekked many routes in all Himalayan regions. I love the great outdoors and find Darjeeling and the surrounding mountain areas to be some of the most beautiful in the world for exploring. To help others share my passion for trekking and the Darjeeling region, I’ve started my own company: Gohimalaya Expeditions. It would be my pleasure if I could assist you in making your trip a most memorable one through one of our services – we offer everything from guided walks to multi-week full trekking experiences! In addition to my adventure company, I run and manage a small homestay in Darjeeling for travelers. The home-stay is named “Heyagriva”, which in Hinduism is one incarnation of lord Vishnu. This symbol of Vishnu embodies “Wisdom”, which, as a long-time resident, I try to share with every guest who visits Darjeeling. Most find our comfortable house to be very convenient and I try to make everyone feel like they are in their own home. Please come stay in Darjeeling for your holidays! Whether you are interested in an adventure trek, a relaxing retreat, or a guided (or unguided) tour, we at GoHimalaya Expeditions & Heyagriva welcome you to the great Darjeeling-Himalaya region!

Heyagriva homestay has always encouraged mountaineers and Everestors. Following this, 21st May 2021 was the date when the expedition team of Heyagriva successfully reached the summit, that is the world’s highest mountain, Mt. Everest which is at 8848 MT and hosted Heyagriva’s Flag.
Congratulating Mr. Dawa Sherpa and his team members, this was a proud moment for the entire team and everyone related to Heyagriva because Heyagriva itself is not only a homestay but the family of Heyagriva strives to serve the guests with a home-like experience and that is the positive vibe that made the team reach the summit and host Heyagriva Flag.
As we promise our guests to provide home-like comfort, we facilitate homemade food as a complimentary breakfast and a full-day meal if our guests opt for it. Food prepared by the Heyagriva family is organic.
